Create a reflection

Reflection is another element of design which is actively used in the Web 2.0 sites. This method is often used in icon to create a 3D effect on the image. Use of this Web 2.0 design rotates, otherwise

plain in them visually pleasing.

Want to make a 3D icon? Follow these steps:


1. open your favorite graphics editing program.

2. open or insert the image into the workspace.

3. create a copy of the image and place it directly where you want to reflect. Remember that

reflection is the mirror image. This is important when making any reflection on your design.

4. create layer masks for most of the reflection.

5. Place the gradient effect on the rest of the reflection to create the illusion of reflection.

6. voila! You have already created a 3D icon.

Select one that you will find the most effectively.

However, keep in mind, to conserve this effect. In the same way as any visual effect overdoing your

reflections you can make your overall design look tacky and unprofessional.
